Visual NL Helmond

Nunner Logistics wished to expand and modernize its activities in Helmond. The new state-of-art facility should ideally be located close to the current location and give space to the corporate headquarter and Benelux cross-dock activities.

Next Level acquired a plot of land in close vicinity of the existing Nunner Logistics site current location to start this greenfield development. The building process has started and Nunner will move into their new home on the Gerstdijk during Q2 2020.

When delivered, Nunner will enter a 12.000 m² built to suit warehouse, developed for cross dock activities and with a high standard and innovative office of 2.000 m² to host the headquarter for Nunner’s business

Build to suit

In Helmond Netherlands, Next Level has revisited their roots by returning to Bedrijventerrein Zuid Oost Brabant, the industrial park where our first development took place over fifteen years ago. This time we are proud to announce we are developing for logistics service provider Nunner. This being a greenfield development, gives the client a great deal of freedom in terms of exterior design, creating an open office with atrium, and of course smart routing of traffic.

BREEAM Accreditation

Next Level always strives to achieve the highest sustainability ratings possible per project. In this case we are aiming at are BREEAM Very Good certificate once the entire project has been completed.

Start of build phase

On July 18th, the building permit has been officially granted by the city of Helmond. Immediately after the following summer holidays, the groundworks have started and the site has been prepared as much as possible. This was followed by the first pouring of concrete foundations half September. In parallel the concrete sprinkler basin has been constructed. When finished this basin will be filled with almost 800m3 water. After the foundations have been finished the load bearing structure and the roof and façade cladding were put in place. In January 2020 the warehouse will be wind and water proof. The electricians will start to install the lighting in the warehouse, power connection, powersupply for material handling equipment, data cabling, outside terrain lighting and all connection needed. At the same time the sprinkler engineers will mount the roofnet sprinklers and install the sprinkler pumps to make sure we have sufficient fire safety systems in place to secure the entire building. The groundworks will start on installing all the outside amenities, sewage system and the pavement. The pouring of the monolithic concrete floors will start in February. When the floor is firm enough to carry the loads of the racking systems and storage shelves the tenant can start with the fit out of the building. In April 2020 the warehouse will be finished and the tenant can start to ramp up their operational activities.

The office building requires a longer construction timeline. When the main construction of the office floors, roof and stairs is finished in January all subcontractors will start with the installation of the technical installations such as power sockets in the floor, the plumbing, the floor heating, the toilets, pantries, climate-conditioning unit and the sprinkler installations. After the installation of these systems the top layer of the concrete floor can be poured followed by the large glass facades walls and interior walls.

The finishing with tiling of the sanitary spaces, installing of the pantries, interior painting, placing the ceiling systems, installing security systems and making sure the new tenant can move in smoothly and in time before the deadline of May 2020.

At last they assemble the concrete design facade elements and do the landscaping.
