Build to suit
Schneider Electric expanded their logistics centre as a result of their footprint optimization. Due to multiple mergers and acquisitions the European network and warehouse footprint required restructuring. This growth led to an expansion of the existing logistics centre to generate economies of scale in the supply chain costs.
Solution
We extended the existing 30.000 m² logistics centre up to 50.000 m². To achieve thermal efficiency we created a system of ground pumps, combined with floor heating and cooling. In addition investments in LED lighting and PIR have been made to reduce energy consumption significantly.
Result
A built to suit development that supports the future supply chain strategy of Schneider Electric. The logistics centre has an optimized racking grid configuration to provide operational flexibility. This allows Schneider Electric to adapt logistics processes to market changes.
